NOV 2016 : Report of the IX Annual state level KCIAPM Undergraduate Pathology Quiz

The IX Annual state level KCIAPM Undergraduate Pathology Quiz was held on 5th November 2016, in JSS Medical College, Mysore at Sri Rajendra Auditorium.

 A total of 36 teams with 2 students in each team from 17 medical colleges participated in the preliminary round. Six teams qualified for the final round. The inaugural function began with rendering respects to His Holiness Jagadguru Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamiji, & seeking blessings of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Mahaswamiji.

 Dr. Sheeladevi C S, Associate Professor, Pathology welcomed the gathering. Dr G V Manjunath, Vice Principal delivered introductory remarks. Dr Balaraj B M, Vice Principal encouraged the undergraduates to participate in academic and co-curricular activities. Dr Manjunatha B, Registrar, JSS University presided over the inaugural ceremony and spoke on the importance of conducting quiz for undergraduates.

Dr Sunila with other dignitaries lighted the lamp. Dr Sapna Patel, Assistant Professor in Pathology proposed vote of thanks.

A total of nine rounds were conducted for the finalists. Dr Asha M, Dr Sheela devi C S, Dr Rajalakshmi B R and Dr Sapna Patel moderated the quiz. Dr Sunila and Dr A L Hemalatha, Professors of Pathology were the judges. Ms Kavya and Ms Manasa Veena from SDU Medical College, Kolar were awarded I Prize and Mr SaiSri Venkata Yeshwanth and Mr Aditya Ramanathan from Kasturbha Medical College, Mangalore were awarded II Prize.
